This article filled my eyes with joyful tears, and my heart with pride & gratitude that I grew up as the daughter of a fighter pilot and a mom who could make just about anything into a home and an adventure. My heart is with the brats of today as they deal with multiple deployments and the effects of ten plus years in war.

Re: Keeping Military Marriages Strong

It always seems that the spouse is a woman. My wife is in the military and all the information I see is about being a "military-wife". Although it says "spouse", it ALWAYS says "him" when referrring to the service member. What about being a husband? I guess men jus cope better???

Re: Military Kids Can Apply for Free Summer Camps

What a great service.
The ladies in the comments about the Army does not teach
spouses anything is severely erroneous. There is an overabundance of resources
out there for spouses and if you cannot find something that meets your needs
contact your local post commander (or his/her spouse) and he/she will
facilitate that need. I recommend contacting
the Military One Source(MOS). At no
charge, MOS can link you to most resources in a local area and your serving
spouse’s command does not have to know (unless you want them to). So from finding civilian employment to learning
military rank structures, I can vouch for the Army, we are taking care of our
spouses. www.militaryonesource.mil
. I am dual military, meaning that both
my husband and I serve. We have two
young children. We all have benefited
from spouse programs during my husband’s last deployment. Most notably was the Blue Star Program.

They have become my inspiration, and I am 51 years old!!! Their dedication to eachother and their daughter just amazes me...for a very young couple/family,....they are so devoted to just that. He served his country, our country proudly....and we are all proud of him. I haven't known them long, but I admire they're strength and devotion...if only more young adults followed in their steps...I think it would be a much greater world to live in.

Re: NBC Show Seeks Military ‘Unsung Heroes’

Captain O.P.
